Dejan Lovren has officially ended his Liverpool career after signing for Zenit St Petersburg ahead of next season.
The Croatian was heavily linked to a move away from Merseyside this summer and he has now officially found his new home. Lovren has joined Russian outfit Zenit on a three-year deal, seeing the Reds pocket £11m from the sale of the defender (via Goal.com).

In a recent press conference (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), Jurgen Klopp has discussed the move and has nothing but positive words to say about the 31-year-old.
“Another Liverpool legend who leaves the club, because he was absolutely a very, very important part of this team from the first day since I was in,” the manager said.
Loads of Reds fans have arrived in the comments section to discuss Klopp’s statement, with many finding it quite baffling. One supporter joked whether the German was still drunk from Liverpool’s title celebrations whilst another said that the manager has “a low bar” when it comes to using the term ‘legend’.
