Liverpool: Fans slam Rafinha after Club World Cup victory

Liverpool fans slammed Flamengo defender Rafinha despite the Reds becoming world champions for the first time in their history.

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat the Brazilians 1-0 the Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar to win the Club World Cup.

Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino scored a dramatic injury-time winner against the Copa Libertadores winners to send fans home happy, and with their third trophy in seven months.

Former Red Danny Murphy was gobsmacked that Rafinha was not sent off after VAR controversially overturned a penalty decision and allowing the former Bayern Munich ace to stay on the pitch.

Andy Roberton got his revenge on Rafinha during the second half and was unhappy with him after the final whistle.

Supporters were fuming with the Brazilian after the final whistle and made their feelings clear about him on social media. One fan said that he was “classless”, while another stated that he was “blatantly cheating”.
