As our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern quips – Brendan Rodgers’ side are without doubt in need of a new striker in this upcoming transfer window, with Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert failing to live up to expectations.
The 23-year-old striker has been in sensational form for Ligue 1 side Lyon this season, and has scored a sizeable 31 goals in 31 appearances for the French outfit.
There will no doubt be a number of top European clubs vying for the signature of the highly-rated Frenchman, but Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are praying it is the Reds that can secure a deal for him!
