The latest reports claim that former Reds hero Rafael Benitez could well be coming back to Liverpool.

Brendan Rodgers has been linked with the exit door already this term following a disappointing start to the season.

Despite a Capital One Cup semi-final handing the Northern Irishman a bit of a reprieve, it seems that the Reds are still looking around at their options and would like to consider former manager Benitez.

As our landlord notes over a pint at the bar, Benitez did win the Champions League during his time at the club and that was certainly some achievement.

This is not to mention the fact that he also won the FA Cup and Europa League during his controversial spell at Chelsea.

Benitez is currently in Serie A managing Napoli and has one of the best forwards around at the minute in Gonzalo Higuain and the Argentine is certainly someone the Reds could do with right now!
