Liverpool should turn to Barcelona’s Munir to replace Divock Origi

Liverpool have been a terrific side to watch this season and they pose a serious threat to win the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp spent the most out of any Premier League team this summer but it looks to be for a good cause, as this Liverpool squad threatens to be one of the best they’ve had in a long time.

A stern defence, creative and defensive midfielders plus a potent attack have meant that so far, the Reds are unbeaten and look to be a significant threat to Manchester City’s title.

Like all teams, Liverpool can improve though and with rumours continuing to link Divock Origi away from the club, maybe it’s time they cash in on the Belgian, and swoop in for Barcelona’s Munir instead.

Munir, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, would provide a great deal of quality for zero transfer fee as his current deal with Barcelona expires in the summer.

Having been given limited chances to shine at the Nou Camp, a move to England could give the Spaniard the fresh start he needs.

When playing on-loan at Alaves last season, he netted on 14 occasions, proving that when given the chance, he delivers.

Munir will understandably never get a proper chance at Barcelona with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez ahead of him but at Liverpool, he could have a big impact when rotating with Firmino in the forward role.

As well as being a main centre-forward, Munir can also play out on the wing meaning value for money wise, he would be a terrific acquisition.
