The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been assessing their forward options ahead of next season after last season only saw two players hit double figures for goals, with Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos both bagging 18 times. They could (via the Scottish Sun) be set to sign 21-year-old Umar Sadiq on-loan from Roma, fans can see more of Sadiq on Youtube.
Here’s a look at potentially our 8th summer signing
Deal will be a year loan from Roma, looks to be on according to these reports (Raman is with squad in Spain)https://t.co/G0CBK52vci https://t.co/ti5nFQpKeq

The club will be looking to score more goals next season, the club bagged 76 goals last season in the Scottish Premier League, averaging two goals a game, however, they’ll be keen to improve on that this season and signing Umar Sadiq would go a long way in doing that. The young Nigerian striker spent last season out on-loan ay NAC Breda in the Eredivisie where he bagged five goals and three assists in 12 league games.
Next season it’s likely that if Sadiq doesn’t end up at Ibrox he will be going out on a temporary basis somewhere across Europe. He’s not quite up to the level that Roma are looking for yet, although he has the raw attributed to get to that level with the right coaching and amount of game time. The striker has pace and power and a deadly finish on him, meaning he could be honed into one of the world’s top finishers, first though, he’s got to convince the Gers that he’s the man they need to kick on.

Looks like a young Kyle lafferty to quote @jamiecurrie89
Reckon one more striker after this before Europe?— Liam Hamilton (@LiamHamilton98) June 22, 2018
Nearly every clip in that video was a counter attack when he had space to run into. Not something he’ll see a lot with us….

Already have strikers that miss a lot of chances, not sure he improves the squad if I’m honest

Lanky, clumsy n looses the ball alot, and that’s just his best bits, really?

He looks pish on Youtube so he’ll probably be brilliant then

Not impressed if I'm honest.

As you can see, the fans will need some convincing before they jump ot of their seats for Sadiq, although he is mor than capable of making that happen.
