Aston Villa fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to secure promotion to the Premier League, as they’ll now look to dominate proceedings in the play-offs.
The Villains have lost ground in their bid form automatic promotion over the past couple of weeks, as the play-offs now look like the only route to Premier League football. Although, Aston Villa will need to get rid of a few underperforming players at the end of the season, as there’re plenty of improvements to be had in what’s been an error-ridden campaign.
Of course, there definitely needs to be changes made in the summer transfer window, with the Villains possibly conducting a major overhaul as they’ll be looking to play Premier League football. But, some players need to buck up their ideas from here on in until the end of the season, as they may just be playing for a future at the club.
Therefore, losing these THREE players would be good for Aston Villa this summer…
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Gabriel Agbonlahor continues to stagnate behind the scenes at Villa Park as wasted talent, with many of our local residents wanting to see him depart in the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Englishman will have been looking to make a positive impact in the current campaign, but hasn’t managed to feature in the side since December.
Therefore, the Villains should look to sell the striker in the summer months, as there’s no future to be had at Villa Park after failing to make the cut.
Ahmed Elmohamady
Ahmed Elmohamady has lost his way in the current campaign as Steve Bruce has looked to utilise other players in his place, after failing to put in consistently good performances.
Indeed, the Egyptian has looked sluggish in possession and has struggled to keep up with opposing attackers, as he’s often let the side down as a weak link in the defence.
Therefore, Villa should look to cut ties with the defender at the end of the season, as he’s still yet to impress with a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order.
Christopher Samba
Christopher Samba hasn’t made the kind of impact that many would have hoped for so far this season, as he’s not featured in the squad since back in September.
Indeed, Villa’s poor start to the current campaign can be put down to his unconvincing efforts, as manager Steve Bruce has seen enough with many of our local residents desperate to see him leave.
Therefore, the Villains should look to sell the experienced defender in the summer transfer window, as he’s offered very little and won’t play any further part in any fixtures for the remainder of the campaign.
