‘Love this man’, ‘Worth £16m’ - West Ham fans on Twitter are absolutely loving star

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been showing their love for Mexican poacher, Javier Hernandez. The striker joined the London Stadium after a very successful spell with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga but has now opted for a Premier League return with West Ham. Chicharito scored off the bench for the Hammers as they drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge yesterday, securing a huge point for the club.

Chicharito is one of a number of West Ham players who have been praised following their resilient performance at the Bridge. Joe Hart and Marko Arnautovic also played major parts in the draw, although Hernadez goal ultimately gained the side a credible point from Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. David Moyes would no doubt have taken a point if offered it before kick-off and after gaining the draw, the league table looks more positive for the Irons as they find themselves six points clear of the drop zone with six games left to play.

Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic were West Ham’s big money signings at the start of the season and were the ones touted to drag the club into a mid-table spot, although so far they’ve been embroiled in a relegation battle. Over the last two weeks though, their qualities have shown through as they’ve scored three goals between them and ensure their side four points in the process. Hernadez has got eight league goals to his name so far and will be hoping he can add to his total as he looks to ensure a comfortable last few games for the London Stadium faithful.
