‘Makes no sense to sell him’ - Newcastle fans react to player news

Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see their side sign some players before the window shuts tomorrow night.

It’s not been the most successful window for the men from St. James’ Park with many fans criticising those in charge for the lack of money spent and so there is an expectation that that will change in the coming hours.

For sure, they want to see Premier League quality players arrive before the deadline but whilst we wait to see who comes in it appears that Dwight Gayle has caught interest from further afield.

However, Gayle does not want to leave the club – as per Lee Ryder on Twitter – and that has caused plenty of reaction on the social media site.

Any info on rationale to sell? Seems strange to be selling top-scorer when Mitrovic a liability and Joselu only new.
