Manchester City will be looking for a vast improvement next season under Pep Guardiola, and the Spaniard himself will no doubt be putting himself under pressure to deliver in the Premier League.
The Blue half of Manchester are no doubt going to be keen to win something next season, and the Champions League is something which just keeps eluding them season after season.
Our landlord though here in the Tavern doesn’t think the club are too far away, and he’s convinced if they sign one world star, then they could well push themselves towards European success. That man who he thinks they should sign? Gareth Bale.
The Welsh wizard is a top class performer, and even though he is with Real Madrid and enjoying ridiculous amounts of success, there always seems to be an underlying tone of Madrid not been overly happy with their big money buy.
However, City are one club who could afford to pay a similar fee that Madrid originally parted with, and if they want to challenge for top honours, then a deal for Bale would go a long way to helping them.
Pace, power, goals, and assists are just some of the things Bale would bring to the Etihad, and he is the sort of signing that a club makes when they want to make a real statement of intent. Signing Bale, would certainly signal that for City.
