Manchester United will be hoping to build on what was some progression last season, as they secured a Champions League place after winning the Europa League under Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils will be hoping to have a successful summer in the transfer market, with many outlets tipping them to make several big name signings.
Our landlord here in the Tavern has been having a few pints this week with the United fans, and obviously talk has turned to the summer and who the club could sign, and there’s always plenty of names banded about.
However, one player who turned heads when mentioned by our gaffer is Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, who often goes under the radar for the European Cup winners.
The Brazilian has become absolutely pivotal to the cause under Zinedine Zidane, and he would be a tough nut to crack in terms of trying to prize away from the Spanish capital.
However, if there is one club who can afford any player in the world, it’s Man United, and the club could well do with a player of Casimero’s quality in the middle of the park. His ability to break up player, get his foot in when it matters, and do the so called ‘dirty work’ makes him a managers dream.
With United looking for big name additions, Casemiro would be one who many would not expect the club to move for, but would certainly be a player who could contribute plenty at Old Trafford.
