Henrikh Mkhitaryan has struggled to gain much of a foothold at Old Trafford since his arrival, with Jose Mourinho repeatedly shunning the Armenian midfielder in favour of players like Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.
However, after a few cameos in recent weeks – Mourinho saw fit to give him a starting berth in the EFL Cup against West Ham yesterday – and he was the best player on the pitch.
