Alvaro Negredo is reportedly looking for a way out of Manchester City, and according to the Daily Mail, he could well find one taking him back to Spain.
Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen to replace the Chelsea-bound Diego Costa with the Citizens star and given the trouble Negredo has had adjusting to life in England, we think that move could be a goer.
Whilst Manchester City would ideally like to keep hold of the player, they are also aware that he is replaceable.
After all, they have Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic all clamouring for a place in the starting line-up with Negredo falling down the pecking order towards the end of last season.
Diego Simeone meanwhile is desperate to keep Atleti moving forward and knows that in order to do this, he must replace Costa in the same way he managed to replace Radamel Falcao the season prior to last.
That might be some task and given David Villa has also left the club, they could well be short of a few goals next season unless a top player comes in.
Manchester City fans. For the right price, would you allow Negredo to leave or should he be made to stay another season in Manchester? Let us know your thoughts below.
