Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to form under Brendan Rodgers, scoring and assisting in their 4-1 win over Aston Villa, drawing plenty of praise from Manchester City fans.
He was also key in the comeback victory over Everton, again scoring and assisting for the Foxes.
His goals in the Carabao Cup this season take his goal tally to four in as many appearances, which is double what he got last season under both Rodgers and Claude Puel.
Iheanacho left Manchester City after the arrival of Gabriel Jesus meant his game time looked extremely limited.
The Nigeria international shot into the headlines with a goal and an assist in the Manchester derby in 2016, but struggled to kick on and was soon displaced by Sergio Aguero and Jesus in the City pecking order, making just five league starts in his final season at the Etihad Stadium.
Given City’s struggles of late, they were left looking on at Iheanacho, wondering what might have been.
Here’s how some of them reacted to his latest impressive showing:
Better than Jesus.

Every chance Gabriel has missed he would easily scored.

Yep would rather have him up front than Jesus. He’s not good enough.

Agreed! Do city still have a buy back clause on him? I thought we slipped something in when he left
