The dust has now settled on the 2020/21 campaign, and City will look back on the season with both pride and disappointment. On the one hand, they won both the Premier League and the League Cup, but they were also defeated by Chelsea in the Champions League final, the match they would likely have wanted to win more than any other.

As such, there are likely to be plenty of transfer plans ahead of the new campaign. One of the players the Citizens are said to be interested in is Locatelli, who currently plays for Sassuolo in Serie A. According to Calciomercato (via Sport Witness), City have tested the waters, with his current club looking for €40m (£34.3m) for his services.
