Manchester United fans disagreed with chairman Ed Woodward after his latest comments surrounding the club’s pursuit of a director of football and recruitment.
The maligned figure said that while the club is looking into the possibility of a director of football, their summer recruitment shows their way is ‘the right one’ (via The Telegraph).
The Old Trafford giants signed just three players in the summer transfer window, with Daniel James, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all joining the club.
However, the north-west club let a host of experienced first-teamers leave the club. The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Matteo Darmian all departed for Italy.
Club legend Gary Neville hit out at his former side’s lack of squad depth, saying it is a ‘depleted team and squad’ (via Daily Mail).
Fans weren’t best pleased with the comments from the club chairman as they took to Twitter to completely disagree with Woodward.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

Not replacing two midfielders and two strikers is the right one?
