It was a very quiet transfer window at Manchester United last month, though that is not expected to the be case in the summer.
According to the Evening Standard, the Red Devils have made signing an elite central defender priority as the club looks to find the ideal partner for Victor Lindelof at the back.
Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is said to be Manchester United’s dream signing for the position, but the English outlet reports Napoli colossus Kalidou Koulibaly is likely to be the more attainable option out of the two.
Whatever the case, Manchester United desperately need a new centre-back given how many injuries the ones they have on their books are picking up each season among other reasons.
And if that new centre-back ends up being either Varane or Koulibaly, then all the better.

That would be a massive signing for us…..Koulibaly is the priority for next season and I hope that Ed now understands the importance of a top back 4.
