Manchester United managed to earn a point against Everton thanks to Mason Greenwood’s strike with 13 minutes to go, but the result was far from what fans will have expected after last week’s derby victory. They had 24 shots on target compared to Everton’s eight (via WhoScored), but they still couldn’t win the game.
It seems Man United fans know their troubles didn’t lie at Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s door though, because he was given praise on Twitter after the game following his duel with Richarlison. The £50m signing was the highest rated player on the whole pitch according to WhoScored, who gave him a 7.6/10, and his willingness to put his foot in hasn’t got unnoticed by the Old Trafford faithful.
On average he makes more tackles per game than any other United player, 4.6, with second-placed Scott McTominay on 2.3. Some call him the spider, and despite the disappointing result, he was given compliments on his performance when he wrote a tweet after the game.
Fought hard for the point but should be doing better. @_MasonGreenwood keep it up 🔥🕸🔴 #AWB #MUFC pic.twitter.com/Qp5emuOXeT

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:
Those tackles you make inside our own box don’t even get me slightly worried. Absolutely solid defensively
