Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba will miss this Sunday’s clash against Liverpool through injury, per BBC Sport.
The France international has missed five of the club’s previous seven matches with a recurring foot injury and will be ruled out for at least one more week as he recovers.
Pogba returned from his initial spell on the sidelines for United’s fixtures against Rochdale in the EFL Cup and Arsenal in the Premier League, but aggravated the knock against the Gunners and has been absent for the Red Devils ever since.
The news of Pogba’s injury is a huge blow for United heading into Sunday’s clash against league leaders Liverpool.
The Reds are currently on an astonishing 17-match winning streak in the top flight and are full of momentum, meaning that United heading into battle without one of their most talented midfielders will significantly lower their already slim chances of success against the Merseyside titans.
Here’s how some fans reacted to the news on Twitter…

I’m starting to think we may never see Pogba in a United shirt again . Even though he is actually injured the feelings of goodbye are setting in ☹️☹️😢
