There is uproar here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail seem to think that Manchester United have their sights firmly set on landing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker.
Now as one of our punters notes, the Spurs right back still has a massive four years left to run on his current deal with the North London club who will demand at least £20 million for his services.
Walker has only just come back from injury after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and given Louis van Gaal has only been managing in England for just over half a season, he must have been tracking Walker for some time or alternatively, is a big fan of YouTube!
We think that while Walker is a fairly decent defender, if United really want to get back to being one of the best clubs in the world, they will have to set their sights slightly higher than being extorted by Daniel Levy!
