Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is drawing interest from West Ham United and Southampton as both clubs seek to take him on loan for the 2020/21 campaign, according to reports.
While manager Jurgen Klopp has decided to stick with him with just two days left until the transfer window closes, some clubs are sniffing around the Serbia international for a potential season-long loan.
The Daily Mail revealed that the interested teams are West Ham United and Southampton, with both clubs believed to be in the market for a midfielder, and the 6ft 2 talent fits the bill.
The 24-year-old has been impressive for the Reds since his return from Hertha Berlin in the summer, having spent two seasons in the German capital and gained plentiful experience in the Bundesliga.
Grujic scored nine times and provided three assists from 54 appearances for Die Alte Dame, where he is held in high regard by their former manager Pal Dardai, who stated that he was the best midfielder at the club for 20 years, as per the Bundesliga‘s official website – some substantial praise right there.

While Transfermarkt rate Grujic at £13.05m, the Liverpool Echo suggested last month that Liverpool would want a fee closer to £20m before they consider selling him. However, having put in solid performances against both Lincoln City and Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, there may be some objection to his potential exit.
At the start of the season, some may have felt that moving Grujic on would be good business for Liverpool as he is still way down the pecking order, even more so after the arrival of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
However, a number of fans are having second thoughts and it is an understandable stance to adopt. His goal against the Imps was well taken and he impressed overall at Sincil Bank that night.
This has given Klopp the sort of headache that managers like to have, with many viable options in midfield that he could utilise in their Premier League title defence.
However, the decision is still in the hands of the German tactician. With Harry Wilson and Xherdan Shaqiri believed to be on their way out of the club, Grujic may have an Anfield future after all. Time will tell.
