It has been Leeds United fans making most of the noise in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks, as their side continue to march on in the Championship.
Thomas Christiansen’s men thumped Burton Albion 5-0 on Saturday to move up to second in the division, with the Whites yet to taste defeat in their six league matches thus far, of which they have won four.
And several Leeds fans have been lining the bar in anticipation of another promotion push from their side this season, having fallen just short of a Play-Off spot last term after ending up seventh, following a wretched run of form to end the campaign.
Nonetheless, a home game against Birmingham City this evening gives Christiansen’s men the chance to reach the summit of the Championship for the first time this season, yet many Whites supporters were reacting on Twitter this morning to some interesting news coming out of the EFL.
The broadcaster have struck a new deal with Sky Sports worth £600 million until 2024, which will include Sky streaming midweek second tier fixtures from 2019, and up to 150 EFL matches broadcast live during any given season.
Yet it’s fair to say that Leeds fans appear relatively unfazed by the new deal for one very clear reason…
