Mkhitaryan’s current form is promising for Arsenal fans on Twitter

Back in January Arsenal fans weren’t best pleased when their club negotiated a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez go to Old Trafford whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan went the other way and joined the Gunners from Manchester United. However, on current form, it looks like Arsenal may have done better out of that deal.

Mkhitaryan has scored some big goals in his short time at Arsenal. The Armenian midfielder, who can be deployed on both flanks and through the middle in the ten role, bagged on the weekend against Chelsea in the 3-2 defeat and managed a classy finish against his old club at Old Trafford at the back end of last season. His form is promising for the fans and if he can keep it up he’ll be well placed to make himself one of the first names on the teamsheet.

At the age of 29, Mkhitaryan doesn’t have many years left at the top of his game and he’ll be desperate to make the last few years of his prime count. Against Chelsea, he got a goal and an assist and if he can manage to get himself double figures for both in the Premier League this season then you won’t be able to argue his importance to the team. He has another chance to perform against West Ham on Saturday and the supporters will be keen to see him impress.
