Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern haven’t had much to sing about this season and they’re pretty resigned to a mid-table finish.
And, to be honest, they’re pretty happy to take that now after a season of uncertainty once again.
Indeed, with Roberto Di Matteo and Steve Bruce both in charge at points this year it’s been another campaign of ups and downs but there is belief next season could harbour a play-off surge.
For Villa fans, then, it’s time to start taking a look at the other big stories in the footballing landscape with Leicester’s Champions League feats certainly on their minds.
Indeed, after Marc Albrighton – a former Villa player – sealed the Foxes’ win over Sevilla to ensure their passage into the quarter finals, many were quick to react on Twitter.
