A large reshuffle is expected at Everton this summer with Director of Football Marcel Brands hinting that up to eight players could leave Goodison Park during the current transfer window (via the Guardian).
The departures of Funes Mori and Wayne Rooney and the likely exits of Morgan Schneiderlin, Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams, means a host of signings could be made with Barcelona’s Yerry Mina being a possibility.
According to Goal, Everton have made a £21m bid for the Colombia international, who now has the time to make a decision about his future after his nation’s elimination from the World Cup.
£8.1m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Mina has been one of the standout defenders in Russia, scoring three goals in the tournament, but hasn’t had the same kind of impact at Barcelona since his move there from Palmeiras back in January.
Nevertheless, Mina is still a very capable defender and would be an upgrade on any of the centre-backs Everton currently have at their disposal.
