The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern think that he deserves a bit more of a chance…
When Morgan Schneiderlin joined Man Utd, the Red Devils in the Tavern were expecting huge things.
The ex-Southampton star had impressed during a spell at St Marys, and he was widely touted to make similar waves in Manchester – but it just hasn’t happened for him.
A mixture of a lack of game time, a number of niggling injuries and too much midfield depth have all worked against the Frenchman; and according to the Sun – his time in Manchester could be up.
The Sun are reporting that Mourinho has deemed the Frenchman as surplus to requirements, and as a result, he could be set for a departure.
Whilst they fall short of confirming that he will be sold, a United insider has told the Sun that “Morgan’s future is very uncertain at the club”.
Having hardly played this season, this does not come as a surprise – but the Man Utd fans in the Tavern are still disappointed.
At just 26-years-old, Schneiderlin is just entering the peak of his career – and he would be wise to join a club in which he would receive regular game time.
Our landlord thinks that he is easily good enough to play for a top team, and he has suggested that a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham would make sense.
