Things appear to be on the up, after a dominant victory over Leicester – but the United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are placing the emphasis on the players for the result – rather than the manager.
Several players have come into the fold and turned United’s fortunes around – and our landlord thinks they deserve a spot in the United first team for the foreseeable future.
With that said, Mourinho must start these 3 Man Utd players in every game from now on..
Marcus Rashford
Now is the time to unleash Marcus Rashford.
He scores every single time he plays, and his role as a bit-part player must now come to an end.
A partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the potential to be unstoppable this season, and playing alongside the experienced Swede will only make Rashford better.
Play Rashford – and he will score.
Juan Mata
Jose Mourinho’s arrival was expected to facilitate Juan Mata’s departure from Manchester United – but in reality, the very opposite has happened.
Mata has found a vein of form under the Portugease boss, and when given an oppurtunity he has really impressed.
It is for this reason that Juan Mata must play going forward. Rooney has often been preferred to him thus far this season, but Mata deserves a role ahead of the Englishman.
A plethora of attacking options has limited his involvement, but based on form – Juan Mata should be starting every week.
Ander Herrera
Ander Herrera has failed to nail down a spot in the Man Utd first team – but that must change now.
He has seen more of a role under Mourinho in recent weeks, and he has – in the opinion of our landlord – made the central midfield spot his own.
He could form an excellent partnership with Paul Pogba, and really allow the Frenchman to dominate the midfield.
He is never going to be a spectacular player – but he certainly does a job. A job that is deserving of a starting role each week.
