Mourinho must utilise these 3 young stars for Man United next season – agreed

Share

Jose Mourinho is not a man renowned for his ability to bring through young talent, but in his new role at Manchester United he will have no choice.

The Manchester United development system is brimming with talent that has, since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, largely been ignored.

Excellent talents have come and gone in the past; but now United find themselves with a number of youth options that could really turn the fortunes of the first team around.

The best of them were given an opportunity last season by Louis Van Gaal, which makes the coming season even more crucial.

They have all had a taste of Premier League football; next season they need to grasp it and develop into the stars that they can.

Hit Mourinho below to see THREE youngsters he has to utilise next season!

Marcus Rashford

After scoring two goals in his debut game for United, a Europa League match against Midtjylland, Marcus Rashford was unstoppable; closing out the season with 11 premier league games under his belt.

He cropped up with a number of important goals for United in the closing weeks when he was given his opportunity; and this was duly rewarded with regular first team spots, eventually culminating in his scoring of five premier league goals before the season was out.

With a half season under his belt, and now the experience of a senior European Championship with England this summer, next season will be crucial for the youngster.

If he can kick on and produce the same level of quality as he did last year; Mourinho could have a real star on his hands.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Another player that was given a run of first team games last season, Borthwick-Jackson rose to prominence after getting his chance after injuries to a number of other first team players.

He looked comfortable at the back; composed on the ball and there were no signs of panic from the youngster.

He settled in immiedately, and straight away looked like a first team player.

If he can get a run of games under his belt next season; he could really cement his position in that side

Luke Shaw

It is hard to believe that Luke Shaw is only 20 years old.

After bursting onto the scene with Southampton, Luke Shaw finally made his big money move to Manchester United and was expected to make that left back spot his own.

Unfortunately, after one decent season he suffered a leg break later and he was out for the entirety of his second season with United.

There is no doubting the young fullbacks qualities, but after a year of not playing; it is essential that he gets back on the pitch next season.

A run of games would do him wonders, and almost certainly bring him back to his best form that he began to show prior to his injury.
