Mourinho should give these 2 Man Utd young players a chance against Swansea tonight – agreed?

For the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, holding onto the Carabao Cup this season isn’t particularly important. Their winning of the competition last season was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing domestic campaign, with the Red Devils achieving very little success in the Premier League. That said, with a genuine chance of success in both the Premier League and the Champions League this season, the Carabao Cup is more of an opportunity for fringe players to shine over anything else.

Against Swansea City on Tuesday, it’s expected that Jose Mourinho will use the game to do exactly that. Specifically, he could use the game to give a few young players a chance, and given how little opportunity many of them have had this season, they will undoubtedly look to make the most of that chance.

Man Utd’s academy is brimming with talent that are desperate for the boss give them a chance to shine. With that said, Mourinho should give these 2 Man Utd young players a chance against Swansea tonight – agreed?

 Scott McTominay

Fresh off the back of penning a new deal, Scott McTominay is a midfield bright spark that is sensational at both bringing the ball forward and springing long passes.

He has just signed a long-term contract, and so the Red Devils’ brass clearly have faith in him, but Jose Mourinho has thus far been reluctant to give him a proper opportunity.

With Man Utd lacking midfield depth at present, given the injuries that Pogba and Fellaini are recovering from, that chance could come today.

 Axel Tuanzebe

Alex Tuanzebe has played a fair amount of football under Mourinho, but he really needs to start getting more of a regular chance.

Man Utd look poor at the back at present, and so there is definitely room for him to make a name for himself. Perhaps a good performance will make him tough to ignore.

Technical, strong and committed, he could be just what Mourinho needs.
