It looks like Paul Pogba might just be making his long awaited return to Old Trafford.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has forced the Manchester United into a u-turn, after the club rejected any probability of £78m-rated Pogba ever returning to the club last season.
Mourinho was interested in Pogba whilst he was at Chelsea, and it seems that this will continue into his stint with United.
Whilst United fans here in the Tavern are excited about the news; many are simply wanting the club to sign some fresh faces first and foremost, as United look to rebuild and refresh their squad.
Well, it seems they might be in luck. A vast number of players have been linked with joining the club, with many of them as recognisable as Pogba himself.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The big one. Probably the worst kept secret in world football right now.
Despite Zlatan’s numerous attempts to throw reporters off the scent, it seems inevitable that the Swede will end up at Old Trafford this summer.
Whilst his transfer fee might not be as high as Pogba’s, you can expect him to immiediately become the highest paid player at United; offset by the fact that he is of course a free transfer.
Ibrahimovic has previous with Mourinho of course, having played together at Inter Milan.
United fans here at the Tavern are excited to see the magic they can produce when they are back together again.
Marco Verratti

A rumour that has come slightly out of left field, the Guardian is reporting that Marco Verratti might well be joining Pogba at United.
The Italian midfielder, currently plying his trade with PSG, has developed at an absurd rate over the last few years; going from a mediocre midfielder to one of the world’s best deep lying playmakers.
The Guardian are reporting that a £79 million pound bid is on the way, breaking even the price quoted for Pogba. Our landlord thinks that number might be a big exaggerated; but this one could definitely still happen.
Leonardo Bonucci

The Metro is reporting that Leonardo Bonucci is another target of United, with Mourinho looking to beef up his recently faltering defensive line.
The Italian stalwart would fit right in at United, offering strong defensive tackles and excellent transitional play.
With reports that Daley Blind might be moving on this summer, Mourinho is reportedly looking to upgrade from the Dutchman.
United will of course have to compete with Mourinho’s ex-Club Chelsea, but we wouldn’t bet against the Portuguese manager one upping the Blues more than once this summer.
N’Golo Kante

Another Chelsea target, N’Golo Kante seems to be the target of a host of European targets this summer.
After a stellar season last year, and a hugely impressive performance in the opening game of the European Championship with France, it seems inevitable that he will be on the move from Leicster this summer.
The Mirror is reporting that United are willing to trigger the Frenchman’s £22 million release clause and bring him to Manchester.
With a number of clubs seemingly willing to trigger the release clause of the midfielder, it seems likely that Kante will have his pick of new clubs this summer. Mourinho and United will certainly be a hard proposition to turn down.
Alvaro Morata

Another player that is seemingly on the wish-list of many top European clubs this summer if Alvaro Morata.
After largely disappointing during his spell with Real Madrid, Morata has developed into quite the player at Juventus, and has attracted the attention of a number of clubs in Europe.
Again, it seems inevitable that he will be on the move this summer, with United definitely interested.
Morata of course has a relationship with Mourinho after their time together at Real Madrid; so he would almost certainly be happy to reunite with the Portuguese manager.
