The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to their side’s next game. They’re keen to forget about Huddersfield’s win over their side at the weekend, with all fans hoping for a swift return to form in the Carabao Cup. Fortunately, the Red Devils have been handed a relatively simple draw, with Premier League side Swansea City the opponents this evening.
Paul Clement’s side have had a mixed start to the season, and so the Red Devils will be expected to win the game comfortably. That said, it’s not a game that holds much significance in the grand scheme of things, and so it’s widely expected that a few Man Utd fringe players could get their chance.
This appears to be something that Jose Mourinho is keen to do, at least judging by a recent move by the club. As confirmed by Rob Dawson of ESPN, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Axel Tuanzebe and Andreas Pereira were all excluded for the Man Utd under-23’s squad last night, meaning that they could be involved this evening.
No Shaw, McTominay, Tuanzebe or Pereira in United U23 squad to play Liverpool tonight. Suggests they will be involved vs Swansea tomorrow.

That would certainly hint at a lot of changes within the Man Utd first team, but that is something that is expected given the high-frequency of fixtures that the Red Devils are currently amidst.
This has generated a lot of excitement amongst the Red Devils on Reddit, with fans taking to the site to discuss the news. They’re certainly looking forward to seeing Luke Shaw, in particular.
