It’s been a fantastic season for Newcastle United down in the Championship who, much to the delight of the supporters lining the bar here in the pub, will be returning to the Premier League next season.
Led by Rafa Benitez, the Magpies have been superb for most of the campaign which will see them return to the top-flight at the end of the campaign.
And whilst things haven’t always gone the Magpies’ way on their home turf this season, away from St James’ Park, they’ve been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole season.
And thanks to stats obtained by OptaJoe, we can tell you that the Magpies have now won 14 away games this season, which breaks their current club record for wins on the road.

It highlights just how good Rafa’s team have been on the road this season and how much they deserve to have secured their place back in the Premier League, where they’ll be mixing it with the countries big-boys once again.
