Newcastle United are continuing to consider making movements this summer as Rafa Benitez looks to improve his squad.
The Magpies boss has already signed a handful of players to help add quality and depth to his side, but a proven Premier League player looks to be on his radar.
According to a report in The Sun, Newcastle are thought to be keen on landing Harry Arter from AFC Bournemouth. The 28-year-old is looking to get first-team football and could decide to quit the Cherries as it looks unlikely he will be offered it at the Vitality Stadium.
The Verdict:

There is no doubt that Arter could offer Newcastle something in the middle of the field, however, it could be a strange addition.
Benitez’s side does not lack options in central midfield and the Republic of Ireland international would not be guaranteed a starting place in the side.
Also, it remains to be seen if Newcastle will pay a fee of around £10m for the 27-year-old, considering their spending has been fairly limited so far this summer.
