Newcastle fans always seem to be in a constant battle with Mike Ashley and for good reason. The Sports Direct owner has a tight stranglehold over the club and it’s no secret that he doesn’t pump much money into the club, leaving the Newcastle fans doing everything they can not to put money in his pocket.
Our 2018/19 @pumafootball away and third kits will be available in store this Friday!

Most fans have been trying to fight against Ashley for years now. here have been constant protests calling for him to exit the club and sell up and even last season he was supposedly in talks with Amanda Staveley over selling Newcastle United. However, it was just the Magpies luck that the two parties were worlds apart in their valuations of the club and their current owner has been left with the reigns.
The fans are willing to take any measures they can to frustrate Ashley, even if that means going elsewhere to buy club kits. The away and third kits for the club are being made available for sale on Friday but a lot of fans will be going to the trouble of buying from DW Sports, Start Fitness or any other shops that won’t be financing Mike Ashley but supplying the kit. It might seem petty, but at the moment, it’s worth it for the Geordies who have no other way of standing up to Ashley.

Will be buying mine from anywhere Mike Ashley has no ties. E.g. @Start_Fitness @DWSportsOnline #IfRafaGoesWeGo #NUFC

As you can see, the Newcastle fans are keen to do everything they can to prevent themselves from financing Ashley.
