Newcastle United are in real turmoil. They’re now one of just two teams in the Premier League without a win and are below Huddersfield by a single point at the foot of the table. Things are quickly going from bad to worse at St James Park and now it looks like they’ll be certain for the drop if they don’t improve, which has led for fans to call for some of the youth to be given a chance.
You might laugh but I would seriously consider giving the likes of Sean Longstaff, Cal Roberts, Adam Wilson and Elias Sorensen a shot at the first team.
They cannot do any worse than what we’ve seen so far this season. #NUFC

Newcastle have got some superb players in their academy and age group sides. The likes of Sean Longstaff, Elias Sorensen and Cal Roberts have all been knocking on the door in terms of getting an opportunity in the senior side and it wouldn’t be the craziest thing Rafa Benitez has ever done if he decides to throw some of them in to the first team for their next game against Southampton at St Mary’s.
The game against Southampton is going to be a huge one. The Saints are rubbish at home and Newcastle are rubbish everywhere, meaning that it could be a game that Newcastle have a really good chance of getting something from. If they can pull off a famous win whilst fielding some for their young players then it could provide a route into the first team for a lot of their younger stars.
You can read The Geordies’ thoughts on their youngsters here:
Rafa doesn't give youth a chance he'd rather play Joselu than try and do something different

There’s nothing laughable about this. It’s a great shout

Couldn't agree more about time at this club to try our young uns like old days

The Magpies are hating life at the moment and will be hoping that some of their younger stars can come in and turn things around.
