Newcastle United need a left-back. The club has just five days left of the transfer window to sign some cover for Paul Dummett and whilst some fans would have been confident of signing 19-year-old Stanley N’Soki from PSG, the news from Mercato, via Culture PSG, that both Marseille and Juventus are also interested in the defender.

The confidence among the Newcastle supporters when it comes to making a signing is at an all-time low. The majority of supporters are convinced that they couldn’t even beat lowly local club Gateshead FC to a signing at the moment, given the lack of funding from Mike Ashley. The fact that you’ve got Marseille and Juventus both interested in the defender doesn’t bode well for The Magpies.
The fact that Newcastle have competition and the fact that the defender would cost around 10 million euros has convinced the Geordies that they have absolutely no chance of signing of 19-year-old. Rafa Benitez couldn’t complete the transfer for either Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico or Joe Bryan of Bristol City, so the fans are wondering why anyone is convinced that PSG would consider selling to them.

As you can see, the supporters are all in agreement that they won’t be signing N’Soki and will just have to hope that the club can sign a left-back by the end of the transfer window on Thursday.
