Newcastle fans on Twitter loved seeing this fan confront Mike Ashley

On Saturday, Newcastle United did the unthinkable and finally recorded their first three points of the season. Their spirited win over Watford was exactly what the Magpies have been dying for and as this news broke about a fan confronting Mike Ashley during the 1-0 win has only made Saturday an even better day. Mike Ashley has been showing his face at St James Park over the last few weeks and given the way he has handled club affairs you can see why the Geordies would be contemplating and actually going ahead with confronting the crooked businessman. Ashley’s running of Newcastle is farcical and it would be a huge shock to see him get through the rest of the season without more incidents like this occurring.

In a week where millions of people in the football world have been paying their respects to the Leicester City owner, Viachai Srivaddhanaprabha, it has really hit home with Newcastle fans how awful Ashley has been for both the football club and the city of Newcastle and until the Sports Direct owner has been entirely forced out of the club it’s hard to see how these protests and confrontations will stop.
