Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been responding to the news that AS Roma may have to sell their best players after the Italian club suffered a financial loss of €278.5 m (£248.15m), as per Oddschanger‘s official Twitter page.
This information was shared by NUFC 360‘s Twitter page, with the caption ‘no wonder they want PIF to buy them’. Indeed, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) were looking to buy Roma if their prospective takeover at St. James’ Park fell through and it looks like the Italians may need that to happen now.
However, several members of the Toon faithful will be praying that this never materialises as they will be hoping for their own club to be bought instead. Saudi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is hoping to use the fund to back his financial bid to take over from Mike Ashley in the northeast, with the aid of businesswoman Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers.
Is there anyone from Roma you would look to sign in the window?
Yes
No
These members of the Toon faithful on Twitter responded to the news:
More clubs will follow. Market could be there to steal good players at good price if takeover happens.

PIF buy the club and bring the players over here for probably a massively decreased price for their talents ? If they agree to join that is
