Loads of Newcastle fans are heaping praise on Miguel Almiron after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Wolves, as the Paraguay international put in one of the most complete performances the Premier League will see this season.
All things considered, a point at Molineux is a great result for Steve Bruce’s Magpies after a horrific run of form through the festive period.
The visitors took the lead thanks to Almiron’s fantastic strike into the roof of the net after he was played in by Dwight Gayle, but injuries to both Gayle and Paul Dummett meant two substitutions were used before half-time.
And while the fatigued Newcastle squad were pinned back for large parts of the game, some big saves from Martin Dubravka ensured they left the Midlands with a point.
The performance of Almiron was simply stunning though, as the 25 year-old did a little bit of everything.
Per Sofascore, the former Atlanta United man completed five dribbles, made five tackles, two interceptions, completed 82% of his passes and won 10 out of his 13 duels, as well as scoring the all-important goal of course.
It was a brilliantly well-rounded display from the diminutive winger, and fans on Twitter can’t get enough…
Unreal he is in a better team he would have a hatful me thinks Mark

Excellent effort from him today. Let’s hope his energy levels don’t result in pulling a hamstring though! 🤞🏽
