Newcastle fans take to Twitter to delight at seeing Almiron in Fernandez’s tweet

Newcastle fans have been chomping at the bit to see their new record signing, Miguel Almiron in action after signing a week ago today. The Paraguayan international joined for £20 million from Atlanta United and now they’re desperate to see him in action, with Fernandez’s picture of the squad in training whetting their appetite for the playmaker.

Federico Fernandez was lauded when he joined the club from Swansea over the summer, and the fans have loved seeing him in action. However, when it comes to Almiron it promises to be a whole different ball game. The Paraguayan’s electric pace and ability to add goals and assists from midfield is something that the Magpies have been sorely lacking, and they’re desperate for him to star against Wolves.

That game against Wolves couldn’t be further away as far as the Geordies are concerned as they have to wait until Monday night. However, when that game does come around they’ll have full faith in bouncing back from their 1-0 Wembley defeat against Tottenham with some kind of positive result at Molineux, even if the bookies won’t be backing the relegation-threatened Geordies.
