Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are firmly of the opinion now that the title is their’s to lose in the Championship this season.
After beating Brighton and Huddersfield and drawing with Reading in the past few days the Magpies are now well on course to return to the Premier League as second tier champions.
Indeed, the way they have gone about their business in the Championship has been largely entertaining and it appears that the stats are backing that up at the moment.

They’ve hit 69 goals so far this campaign and with the likes of Dwight Gayle around you can bet that tally will increase by some margin between now and May when they’ll be hoping to be celebrating promotion.
