Newcastle United have been dealt a transfer blow in their hopes of signing Brandon Williams on loan from Manchester United in this month’s window.
As per Football Insider, the Old Trafford faithful have put a block on the £9.9m-valued man leaving on loan in January, meaning that the Tyneside club will have to look at other possible targets before the window shuts.

The St. James’ Park faithful were previously linked with bringing him in on loan this month as Steve Bruce’s hunt for another left-back to add to the squad continues.
Williams could have been a good signing by Newcastle
Williams may well have turned out to be a good signing for the Magpies, given his added versatility to play at right-back as well as left-back, which could have been very useful to Bruce had he find himself short in the full-back areas from now until until the end of the 2020/21 term.

The 20-year-old also has plenty of experience of playing in the Premier League with the Red Devils, and even though he has only managed to make one senior appearance in the top flight so far this season, he played in no fewer than 17 games in the PL in the last campaign, scoring one goal and making one assist (Transfermarkt).
Nonetheless, it looks as if the Toon will have to pursue other targets for now with just a few days left until the window closes.
