Chris Waugh has relayed comments made from Steve Bruce to BBC Newcastle on his official Twitter page about the latest that the Newcastle United manager has heard about the proposed takeover in the North East.

As per the journalist’s tweets, Bruce was asked about comments made by the Premier League chief Richard Masters on the prospective £300 million deal but was not aware of them, and reiterated that he wants the whole process to be dealt with as soon as possible and also that he cannot influence what is happening.
The former Manchester United central defender added that he is just focused on training and the top flight game against Eddie Howe’s AFC Bournemouth side that is coming up.

Indeed, Bruce has followed several members of the Toon faithful in asking for clarity on the saga by England’s highest division and its chief executive Masters, but the league and its CEO are still not giving much away.
It is also still yet clear as to whether the would-be owners have passed the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) set out by the Premier League, and a general time scale as to when an official announcement may be made has still not been provided.

The NUFC supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated with the delays to the point where some of them just want a decision to be made, whether it is positive or negative.
Nevertheless, the Magpies have been made to wait longer and longer in the hope that the bid will eventually be approved by the top flight.
