Dominic Raab has made a rather big statement with regards to the government of the United Kingdom by announcing that there will be sanctions for violators of human rights, as his comments made in Parliament were relayed by the Daily Express.
As per the outlet, the Foreign Secretary spoke with regards to the country’s first autonomous human rights sanctions regime, saying that ‘this gives us the power to sanction those involved in the very worst human rights abuses right around the world.’

As per PA Media’s official Twitter page, one of the instances discussed for a possible sanction is the murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

His fiancee Hatice Cengiz has previously written several letters to the Premier League and members of the Toon faithful accusing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) of being involved in his murder and thus urging the top flight to block the proposed takeover of Newcastle United.
MbS and his country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are set to buy an 80 per cent stake in the Tyneside club providing that the prospective £300 million deal with Mike Ashley is approved by England’s highest division.
However, if the Saudi prince is found to be involved in the murder, then this may affect his chances of passing the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) set out by the league, as he may not be deemed a fit and proper person.

The added statement from Raab may also be a worry for the would-be owners if the accusations against MbS are found to be true, but for now everything remains hung in the balance until the final decision is made.
