Loads of Newcastle United fans are sick of takeover news after the latest report from Lee Ryder for ChronicleLive was shared on the Twitter page of NUFC 360.
This prompted many angry responses from members of the Toon faithful, who are growing ever more sick and tired of reading news of a potential takeover without anything more concrete.
Ryder explains that talks are at a delicate stage as Mike Ashley is currently based in his holiday home in Miami. The article states that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are still in discussions with the owner, as interest first emerged back in January of a £340 million takeover.
The journalist suggests that Ashley has not ruled out the possibility to sell, but no firm agreement seems to have been made and when the northern club have been asked about it, they have declined to comment thus far.
These Magpies expressed their negativity of hearing yet more news, with one supporter even comparing it to Brexit:
More boring and tedious than Brexit and I never thought I’d say that
