Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been blasting Jeff Hendrick for his very poor display versus Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Friday night.
The Republic of Ireland international only won a rather shocking one of his 11 duels (9%) in the game and also did not manage to record a single shot, dribble, clearance, interception, key pass or accurate cross, earning him a measly 5.8 rating on Sofascore, the lowest out of anyone on the pitch.

This is not the first time that he has been blasted by the Toon Army either, as several supporters in the North East must be wondering as to why Steve Bruce keeps on starting him.
The 25 year-old has not scored or assisted a goal since the opening day of the top flight season, and so maybe it is time for Bruce to drop him onto the bench for the upcoming matches ahead.

Newcastle fan reaction to Hendrick display
These Magpies blasted the performance of Hendrick on Twitter, with one member of the St. James’ Park faithful even claiming that the midfield player was a ‘passenger’ in the clash against Roy Hodgson’s team:
Can anyone tell me what is a Jeff Hendrick? What does it do? #NUFC

Couldn’t agree more. But it’s equally impossible to overstate how bang average Jeff Hendrick is. No fee but no doubt chunky wages which he’ll milk for years and contribute little.

You would think with Gayle ASM Murphy Almiron Ritchie Fraser Carroll all around it also ensures competition and allows subs to happen if players aren’t in form. He needs to work out how to get something out of ASM/Almiron/Fraser. Can’t keep this Hendrick Rm, wasteful

We played with 10 men, Hendrick was a passenger. Luckily enough so was Townsend. Manquillo had to do his own job and Hendrick’s.
Hope Ando takes note of @alanshearer and stop comparing Bruce against Rafa.
Great win, I enjoyed the game for a change.

Longstaff had an average game but was involved and we all prefer to see a local lad than a foreign mercenary. Hendrick did nothing for me. I’m not sure what he’s supposed to offer to the team other than a body.

Hendrick was much worse tho touched the ball about 5 times

Hendrick is horrific! Almiron must produce more in the final third for me! I like what Ritchie brings to the team but he hasn’t got the legs any more! Best crosser of the ball in our squad by a country mile though.

could do better against mid table teams . 87 min and Murphy still sat on the bench , hendrick offers nothing going forward .
