Loads of Newcastle United fans have been buzzing as a claim about the prospective takeover in the North East from former player Olivier Bernard has been circulating on Twitter.
Speaking on the show Football Matters, the 40-year old claimed that he heard from a ‘good source’ that the takeover was happening tomorrow, which would be today (19th May) as the show was recorded last night.

He added that he has had enough of all of the talk and that he is ‘80%’ sure that the deal to end Mike Ashley’s reign of 13 years at St. James’ Park will happen.
Indeed, there has been a lot of speculation as to if and when the bid will be completed over the last few weeks, and only time will tell as to whether Bernard is right.
