Some Newcastle United fans have destroyed Joelinton after reports from Fotomac (via ChronicleLive) have linked the struggling striker with a move to Turkey in the summer transfer window.
According to the outlet, Trabzonspor are considering a move for the Tyneside club’s number nine as one of several options to replace Daniel Sturridge.
The 23-year-old was signed from German football for a reported £40 million on a deal lasting six years, but it seems that after not even a full season, the Magpies may be willing to offload their record-signing.
The Brazilian enjoyed a fine campaign with Hoffenheim prior to his move, scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists in 35 appearances in all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.
However, his time at NUFC has been far from prolific. He has netted just three times and bagged four assists in 34 matches in all competitions, stats a lot worse than his previous term.
