Plenty of Newcastle United fans are discussing ex-Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor’s comments on his former manager Steve Bruce.
Speaking to talkSPORT (via ChronicleLive), the 33-year old claimed that it would be very harsh on Bruce if he were to be replaced by the potential new owners.
He implied that the Geordie has done a good job at the Tyneside club and believes that nobody expected the Magpies to have the season that they are having, adding that Bruce had done wonders with the squad he had available.

Agbonlahor suggested to give the money available to him rather than somebody like Mauricio Pochettino, and give him a chance to get better quality players because he is a good manager.
Indeed, the Englishman would be able to justify his opinion as he played under him at Villa. In 20 appearances in all competitions under the 59-year old, Agbonlahor scored two goals and provided two assists, according to Transfermarkt.

I think Bruce has done okay, given the situation. But, if they have aspirations of Europe. Bruce clearly isn’t the man for it. Poch has pulling power, and the job he has done at Spurs with how little he spent. So imagine if he gets money? And trust?

Bruce was never wanted here , still not wanted and yes he has somehow got us to a position of relative safety but the football has never been good to watch and results very fortunate. If he’s a genuine toon fan he should just accept it and leave without a fuss .
