Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been discussing the transfer links for Olivier Giroud, Ryan Fraser and Adam Lallana after all three Premier League players are reportedly being monitored by the Tyneside club.
According to The Athletic (via ChronicleLive), Steve Bruce is an admirer of the trio and could potentially look to sign them all on a free transfer in this summer’s transfer window. Amongst the other reported free agents in the top flight are Nermanja Matic, Willian, Eric Bailly, Jan Vertonghen, David Silva, Fernandinho and Pedro (as of January).
But Giroud, Fraser and Lallana are the men that apparently most catch Bruce’s eye. Comparing each of their stats in the Premier League this season, the trio have only managed 2,880 minutes between them, which if you divide by 90 is 32 matches. In that period, they have scored just four goals and provided five assists, according to Whoscored.
Perhaps the men would like to move elsewhere in order to get more game time and potentially improve their stats for next campaign, and the Magpies could fit the bill.
